What is the difference between a Boom Truck and a Bucket Boom?

A boom truck is also known as bucket boom truck or "cherry picker" when there is a bucket-shaped apparatus connected to the extension of its arm. The extended arm with the bucket can be raised to the height of a phone or electrical pole or a roofline for instance, where the worker seated in the bucket can carry out the requisite installation in comfort. The height that a boom truck's boom can rise to is typically 10.36 meters, or about 34 feet. The weight that the boom can handle is usually in the range of 159 and 680 kilograms.
